![]() Vilifying him for that storyline was done purely for maximum drama’s sake and no logic was put behind it whatsoever. He could’ve stolen his drugs off the aid car any it could’ve been held up at gun point for drugs too. They carry all sorts of addictive drugs too. Blaming him for the PRT getting shut down was just bad writing because the PRT isn’t anymore of liability than any other ambulance in the SFD. I like that he eventually took responsibility for his own actions though. His addiction stemmed from a purely physical injury and I would probably lay some blame on whatever doctor was following his case. Lots of people struggle with PTSD and manage not to commit felonies, it’s not very helpful to people struggling with mental illness if we use it as an excuse for terrible behaviour as if survivors aren’t capable of controlling their actions and don’t do so everyday. But even if that wasn’t the case, I’m not a fan of using trauma to absolve characters of all accountability. I have no doubt that he struggled with PTS after his tours but it’s largely implied that he addressed it and can now deal with it in a healthy way so it’s doesn’t impact his life. His stealing drugs had nothing to do with his service or PTSD which isn’t even an arc of his character. I agree with all of your points with the exception of 1 and to some extent 4. ![]() Boris is one of the strongest actors on the show for sure and Sullivan is a super complex, interesting and refreshingly consistent character but I don’t know if I would say he’s one of the best characters on the show from me personally. I have my issues with Sullivan but I don’t think he’s the demon the fandom makes him out to be. Robert is one of the best characters on the show. And maybe, just maybe, it’s easier to for an addict to spot another addict. They all blame him for “going after” Beckett when literally none of them like him. Also, Herrera basically got 23 shut down, but because she got assaulted, she didn’t face any of the same blowback when what she caused was objectively worse. And on the same note, Herrera is the reason Herrera got transferred. This talk about sexism is load of crap in my opinion. I have no idea why they all hold that against him. She was losing her position anyway, and Sullivan did, in fact, make sure that 19 stayed together. She was lucky the kid survived, and if he didn’t, Station 19 would have probably been shut down instead of 23. Bishop was insubordinate and potentially opened up the department for a massive lawsuit. He was a loyal and dedicated husband who pushed Herrera to open up.For a guy who now had to take commands that were not as experienced, who wouldn’t be hesitant? ![]() ![]() People keep calling him “misogynistic”, but let’s be honest, he was a better captain than Bishop and Herrera because he had more experience. The PRT was a rolling lawsuit waiting to happen. ![]() Oh and can not forget here that Ben Warren was not an actual surgeon. And what did he do right after? He kicked it, that’s impressive. It’s sad he stole drugs from the PRT, but let’s be honest, he’s a suffering ex-marine, that’s actually a very realistic representation.
